The original Icarus was already an advanced wavetable synthesizer, but now it is also a synth-workstation. I will try to touch on many of the more important aspects within this current review.
įor this review I won’t revisit features previously covered in the version 1 review, so you may want to check out the link to that earlier review. I reviewed that version in a past issue which you can find here. It is the sequel to the original Icarus synth plugin released in 2016. For this issue of SoundBytes Magazine I will be checking out their wavetable monster synth named Icarus 2. Some of their softsynth plugins include Electra 2, Gladiator, Saurus and Nemesis. Tone2 is the music software development team behind several high quality virtual softsynth products, effects and soundsets.
